Video Targeting and Aiming System
A major defense contractor is producing a new non-lethal long range acoustic device to be used by the Navy, Army and Homeland Defense. The device emits a coherent beam of high decibel sound. Due to compact size and portability requirements, they needed a simple, effective way to accurately aim the system. Intelepresence designed a miniature video system that matched the camera field of view to the angle of sound propagation. The target image is displayed on an encased high resolution flat screen mounted on the rear of the device. The system allows the operator to quickly and effectively operate the device while maintaining accurate sight image.
